ReusMarco Reus has claimed that Bayern Munich are strong favourites to clinch the Bundesliga again.
The Bavarians won the German League last year in Pep Guardiola’s debut season, with Reus finishing second with Borussia Dortmund.
“It will be all about Bayern Munich again in the Bundesliga, even if they weren’t crowned champions in 2007 and 2011 the season after a World Cup,” Reus told Kicker.
Reus says for his team to do better next season, they must be consistent. Jurgen Klopp’s meant finished 19 points behind Bayern Munich last season.
“As for Dortmund, we will have to ensure we don’t drop as many points again as we did halfway through last season,” Reus said.
“We did very well at the start of the campaign and toward the end, but were not at the same level halfway through the season.”
The forward also insisted he was happy at Dortmund and was not looking for a move away, with Liverpool and Barcelona linked with his signature.
“I can only repeat what I have already said before. I am very happy to be playing for Dortmund,” he said.
“My main objective for now is to get back to peak fitness. Everything else isn’t important for me at the moment.”
