Benzema renews contract with Real Madrid

Real Madrid striker Karim Benzema, has signed a new five-deal deal to stay with the club.
The France international joined the Spanish club in 2009 from Lyon for a fee around €35m and scored 17 times in the League last season.
With his current contract set to expire in 2015, the La Liga side were keen to tie down the 26-year-old and have now announced an agreement.
“Real Madrid announce the extension of the contract between the player Karim Benzema and the club until June 30, 2019, the next five seasons,” the club statement read.

Benzema has won the Champions League, La Liga and the Copa del Rey (twice) with Madrid since he moved.
