The Isreali and Palestinian governments have agreed to a 3-day cease-fire beginning from tomorrow August 5th. The 3-day cease fire, which was proposed by Egypt, will be a "pure humanitarian cease-fire," with no military action.

Both governments are expected to sit tomorrow and deliberate on their terms and conditions for a total cease fire.

Earlier today, Egypt which is serving as a mediator, presented the Palestinians' demands to Israel, which includes an end to the blockade on Gaza of goods and people, the release of recently rearrested prisoners who had been freed in the Gilad Shalit prisoner exchange; the reconstruction of Gaza, including the port and the airport; and the extension of Palestinian fishing rights to 12 nautical miles.
Israel on Sunday began withdrawing troops from areas of Gaza after saying that its military had completed a main objective of the ground assault - the destruction of infiltration tunnels from Gaza into Israeli communities on the border with the coastal strip.

Though both sides have agreed to the cease-fire, they still seem suspicious of one another.
From CNN
"The onus is on Hamas," Israeli government spokesman Mark Regev said shortly after announcing on CNN's "The Lead with Jake Tapper" that Israel had accepted the Egyptian proposal.
"We are entering this with our eyes open. ...We have been burnt more than once."
The sentiment was similar from Hamas spokesman Osama Hamdan, who told CNN as long as Israel honors the agreement, so will the Palestinians.
News of the cease-fire comes as Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu vowed Monday to finish the military operation to destroy Hamas' network of tunnels.
"This operation will end only when quiet and security are restored to the citizens of Israel for a lengthy period," he said.
The remaining tunnels are few, according to IDF spokeswoman Lt. Libby Weiss. "Those remaining numbers are in the single digits, between one and three," she said.

38 year old British photographer David Christie said he captured the stunning moment a gigantic 'hand' appeared through the clouds above his home...and he thinks the fist-like wind funnel is the 'Hand of God'.
"I love weather photography and I've taken a few pictures of small wind funnels in the past. But this was something else. It looked as through there was a huge hand piercing through the clouds - it was phenomenal. It really did seem like the hand of God. My wife and I are both photographers and we've never seen anything like this. This was a very surreal experience." He told reporters

He said that he went to the Huntington Hospital on Thursday July 18 for medical attention where he was admitted and that he spoke with his family on the day of the incident.
Okonkwo said that he put a call across to his house on Friday but that the phone rang without anybody answering the call, adding that on returning on Saturday morning, he found his last son lying dead on his bed.

She was caught by a Police officer with a corpse of a young boy on the Mile 2 bridge close to Festac.
According to reports, the officer became suspicious of the woman and asked her to empty the “Ghana-Must-Go” bag. It was gathered that some fetish materials were found in the bag as well as a corpse of a young boy.
Though the woman, who gave her name as Florence, claimed that the dead child was hers, angry mob said she could have kidnapped and killed the child for money ritual.
Though news making the round earlier had it that the child’s eyes were plucked, Vanguard reports that the eyeballs were only popped.
Information gathered revealed that the woman had been sighted in the area with the child strapped at her back for three days.

An onlooker said: “One man in a commercial bus alerted us yesterday that the child strapped at the back was motionless. This attracted some curious passengers of commercial buses that were trapped in this unending gridlock. One of the passengers went close to the woman and shook the baby. Before you knew it, people had gathered around the woman, wanting to set her ablaze. But for the timely arrival of policemen attached to the Rapid Response Squad, she would have been dead by now.”
Defending herself, the woman said “I am from Umo in Kwale area of Delta State. I was born in Lagos and I have three children. Nothing is wrong with me. This child (pointing to the dead child) is my son. He is the last of my three children. I have a boy and a girl who are in the village. His name is Chidi and he is five years old.
“He has been very sick. In fact, he had fever and needed blood transfusion but I couldn’t afford the money for it. He died three days ago. Before he died, we wanted to travel back to the village. My husband stays in Port Harcourt. I don’t have any relative in Lagos. I was living under a staircase in one of the shops located in Alaba market. A security man allowed my son and I to sleep there at night. I didn’t steal any baby neither did I kill any child.
“I was carrying Chidi on my back after he died, only for people to gather around me this morning and started beating me. What have I done to deserve this kind of beating? If not for these policemen, they would have beaten me to death.” she explained.
