Onazi Ogenyi-France June2014Super Eagles midfielder Onazi Ogenyi, will not be allowed to leave Serie A side Lazio, the Italian club has confirmed.
Lazio are demanding €10 million ($13.5m) for the Nigerian international, whose current deal with the club runs out in 2016.
Onazi is attracting interest from several Premier League clubs including Southampton, Everton and Sunderland and it is understood that he is keen to leave.
He is currently one of the lowest earning players at the club – just US$268,000 per year. His agent, Jonathan Barnett, has asked the club to either increase his pay packet or reduce the fee they are asking for the 21-year-old.
Onazi represented Nigeria at the just concluded World Cup, featuring in all four games the African champions played.
