have qualified for the play-offs of the 2014/2015 UEFA Champions
League, after a 3-1 aggregate win over Grasshopper Zurich.
Both sides played out a 1-1 draw in France on Tuesday, but Rene Girard’s men progressed from the third preliminary round of the competition, after they defeated the visitors 2-0 in the first leg.
Florent Balmont gave Lille the lead in the 19th minute, before Amir Abrashi levelled for the Swiss side around the 30th minute.
Grasshopper almost took the lead several times, but Nigerian goalkeeper Vincent Enyeama was in fine form, pulling off some excellent saves.
