The majority leader of the Ebonyi State House of Assembly, Hon. Samuel Nwali who was kidnapped Thursday has been rescued.
Armed gunmen had forcefully seized him at his residence in Abakaliki metropolis on Watchman Street.
Nwali was rescued by security operatives around 9:30am Thursday at the boundaries between Ikwo Local Government Area and Cross River State.
He has since been transferred from the state headquarters of the Department of State Security to a private hospital for intensive medical treatment.
