Glo NPLThe League Management Company (LMC), has imposed a transfer ban on 17 Glo Premier League clubs, with the exception of Bayelsa United, Kano Pillars and Abia Warriors, for failing to fulfill their financial commitments to their players.
According to KickOffNigeria, the LMC confirmed that the three clubs were the only ones in the League, that have honoured their obligations to their players after the first part of this season. The other 17 clubs failed to meet the deadline which was fixed for July 18.
LMC’s Chief Operating Officer, Salihu Abubakar, in a statement said the three teams are the only Glo Premier League clubs that can buy players or bring in players on loan in the ongoing mid-season transfer window.
The other clubs have been asked to send evidence that shows payment of players’ wages, whether electronic or hard copy, including bank transfers or signed vouchers.
