Ideye to WBA
Brown Ideye
Brown Ideye has admitted his transfer to West Bromwich Albion has left his surprised.
Stoke City and West Ham were also interested in the Nigerian international, but he completed a club-record move to the Baggies last week.
“It’s a little difficult to believe that it has happened and I’m in still in shock right now,” Ideye said.
“Things were a little difficult with my former club because they didn’t want to let me go, but I’m so happy that everything came through eventually.”
Speaking to NaijaFootball, Ideye stated that he took his exclusion from Keshi’s World Cup squad on the chin and has moved on from the snub.
“It even sounds better for me because I was dropped from Nigeria’s team to the last World Cup and I continued to tell myself that I had to work hard for my career.
“I didn’t just work hard, I believed in myself and I must say I am very excited. It’s really a dream come true for me.
“I will give my best in every game I play for the club and leave the fans with stuff to dream off every time I play for the club.”
